Christians: Did god created a ';perfect'; universe which was rendered imperfect by the ';perfect'; humans?

NopeChristians: Did god created a ';perfect'; universe which was rendered imperfect by the ';perfect'; humans?
That's what the general teaching is.

I always wonder, was the entire universe perfect before Adam and Eve ate that fruit? For example, is that the reason there are asteroids out in the universe that slam into planets and cause all sorts of problems to happen?

That was one powerful piece of fruit. Christians: Did god created a ';perfect'; universe which was rendered imperfect by the ';perfect'; humans?
Would that not mean then that man has the power to override God? I mean surely God knew this would happen (he's omniscient) so why did he make the universe perfect before original sin in the first place, or alternatively why not make it so that original sin did not HAVE to create evil and death and all that (he's omnipotent).

Any way you look at it, either man can force God to do something, or God's an evil spiteful bastard who CHOSE to make a (predictable even if you are NOT omniscient) ';sin'; create death and disease and horror when he didn't have to.

Theists really should have thought out the implications of omnipotence before they claimed it for their imaginary friend. When you are omnipotent and omniscient EVERYTHING bad is, indeed must be, your fault.

Trust me you'll get ';free will'; here, but if you can do ANYTHING you can set up a universe where free will is still valid, but where it does not cause horrible side effects for those who do not directly choose them. I did not choose to be tainted with original sin, and yet I am punished for so being. Why? Either not omnipotent or an utter sociopathic malevolence are God's only choices.
God is perfect, He did however create people with free choice. Peope are not perfect and according to the Bible ';not righteous';, that includes the Christians. Only Christ was perfect and He set the standard by which we follow, knowing He died for payment for our sins.
Indeed. I see your point but then again, I'm an atheist. Do you ever feel like even being here and asking these kinds of questions is like asking random strangers to rub poo in your face? I mean, you're going to get a lot of bull **** answers now. Kind of like theists have a button on a box and 3 settings : Christian, Muslim and Jew. The Jews barely know they have a box since the buzzer rarely goes off and the Christians and the Muslims have to keep the box strapped around them like a purse. Each box has a big red button and when you press it, it flings poo in all directions.
its the people in the world not the universe the universe is perfect the world is perfect but not all the people in the world are perfect but people have choices to make.
No, God created a universe and saw that it was ';good';. He created man, the only part of the creation that God did not see that was ';good';.
The universe is a perfect creation and functions exactly as it should. What does that have to do with Christians? Numb nuts.
Yes. Without a doubt. Man does co-create with God. We haven't done a very good job.
Humans are far from perfect. But yes, it is us who are goofing everything up.
How would perfection be defined in that context? By what criteria? It is a meaningless term being used this way.
Long answer yes with an if, short answer no with a but.
Nope. The universe is perfect. It's people who are marred by sin.
I agree word-for-word with Scott B.
Trolls are everywhere. Run for the hills.
It was fine until you came along
show me perfect that I will accept!
yes
