There are some of us on whom tickling has an almost hypnotic effect. Struggle as one might, make whatever effort of will one may, the first signal reaching the brain that we're being tickled fills us with the absolute certainty of an inevitable involuntary descent from being rational and volitional creatures into pure puddings of ticklishness. The sensation can be terrifying, delicious or both. I love it a lot.Why is it when I'm tickled,I'm rendered helpless?
