What does No valid rendering code path detected mean?

I just finished DL the Call Of Duty 2 Demo and this Fatal Error thing pops up and says No Valid Rendering Code Path Detected, what do i do!?What does No valid rendering code path detected mean?

with the quotes. You will see that when this question was posted on a forum where people might know the answer, the first question usually asked of the poster was: What video card do you have? I won't ask that here, because I wouldn't know what to do based on the answer.

shut down and restart (it never fails, well, nevermind, it does fail sometimes)
