I live right by the coast and my property is taking a battering from the elements i need to take all my render of and put another coat on the walls does anyone know a good weatherproof ,two pack mixture or something really tough that will not let anything throughRock hard rendering?
the render will need to be two coat ..plastering sand and Portland cement ...don't use sharp sand ..its too open ..the first coat (scratch coat ) and top coat need a waterproofer added to the water ..make it 3 to1 by weight not volume ..and that will last your lifetime...do not add any limeRock hard rendering?
render is a standard higher level of protection in weather beaten places. proper application makes a big difference and you can improve it by pebble/spar dashing
what type of house construction is it, if its old soft brick or timber frame then cement render is a bad idea
there are alternatives but i cant vouch for them and they havent been around for that long,
